French left-back Jordan Amavi, under contract with OM until 2025, was recently dismissed from the professional squad by Igor Tudor, the coach of the Marseille club, according to multiple sources.
Returning to OM this summer after an unsuccessful few-month loan spell at Nice, French left-back Jordan Amavi is still under contract with the Marseille club until 2025 but is unlikely to last long at the Canebière side, so Nuno Tavares, holder of the same position, has just been recruited from Arsenal.
An Amavi-Tudor skirmish?
According to the information revealed by the website of the Football Club of Marseille, Jordan Amavi was removed from the professional squad of OM after an altercation with Igor Tudor, coach of the Marseille club, a few days ago during the practices in England. Since then, the 28-year-old has been training away from the group, mostly in the company of another undesirable in the person of Kevin Strootman.
If La Provence does not mention a clash with Igor Tudor, the regional newspaper confirms, in any case, that Jordan Amavi has effectively been sidelined. Its future therefore seems written a priori far from the sun of Marseille.
