Carmaux. Saint-Privat: Amaury Vasili starts the celebration

From the 19th to the 27th of August, the Saint-Privat festivities will return to their good habits after two years of disruption and virus, depriving the people of Carmaux, Ségale, Tarn and Occitanie of much of the festivity and pleasure that goes with it.

For this return to work, Jean-Pierre Laur, president of Cofest, has designed a festive and friendly program that should delight young and old: “We will find especially bodegas and of course all the highlights of entertainment, as before the pandemic, bands, pétanque, flower cavalcade on Monday with foreign music, including Ukraine, a gourmet village and fireworks.” And as tradition dictates, queen of the festivities Mélinda and her runners-up Léa and Adeline will open the doors of the festivities on August 19, and the keys to the city will be handed over by mayor Jean-Louis Bousquet.

Another tradition, the first major event of the holiday will take place in music with a concert by Amaury Vasili in the Saint-Privat church. A great musical moment with the young tenor born in Rouen in 1989, whose first album “Vincero” sold more than 200,000 copies.

Known all over the world, Amaury Vasili is a real “performer”, with exceptional vocal abilities. And in order to celebrate his ten-year career, Vasili embarks on an anniversary tour during which he will perform his greatest classic pop songs and appropriate the greatest hits of popular artists during the “best of” show. On Friday, August 19, the tenor will offer his piano-voice formula for a grandiose performance enriched by the exceptional setting of the Saint-Privat church.

In the program: Friday, August 19, at 5:30 p.m., presentation of the keys to the city of Queen Saint-Privat 2022 with the Formula Peanuts band; at 7 p.m., opening of the bodega; at 9 p.m., a concert with Amaury Vasilij in the Saint-Privat church. Reservations at the Ségala Tarnais tourist office, place Gambetta, tel. 05 63 76 76 67. And the usual outlets, FNAC, Ticketmaster, Leclerc. Single price €26 (free placement).
