Having climbed to four of the first 11 podiums of the season, Johann Zarka will try to get his first victory in the second part of the championship.
Johan Zarca will approach the British Grand Prix on the weekend of August 7, leading the Ducatistes in the general classification. The Frenchman, third in the MotoGP world championship, is the marque’s top rider, ahead of only Francesco Bagnaia and Enea Bastianini. And this, unlike them, has not yet imposed itself.
At the age of 32, the Canau native is still looking for his first premier class win, with 15 MotoGP podiums. This is one of the dreams of his life, but also one of the goals for the coming weeks. His ambition is to climb to the top step in one of the nine Grands Prix still to be held in 2022. And made it clear, answering our colleagues from Gponewho were present in Misano at Ducati World Week:
“Something is missing because I haven’t won yet and it will be an important step because I still have to figure out how to enjoy the Ducati better. The fact that I’m third in the championship gives me a lot of motivation, but I still didn’t feel like I did my best on this bike. But I’m in a good position and that’s positive. I hope to be stronger in the second half of the season. »
Johann Zark’s results also allow him to lead the ranking of independent pilots, even if Enea Bastianini is right behind him. They also give Prima Pramac Racing first place – and by a wide margin – among independent teams.
Zarco soon ranks among the top 20 most experienced pilots
