It’s Guyana’s Holiday Weekend Meeting…at least in Cayenne…Wyhcella put the little “sounds” into the big ones to welcome festival goers to the mid-afternoon airwaves. The event opens its doors today at the beginning of the afternoon, and closes tomorrow, Sunday, July 31.
Pointe Buzaré in Cayenne will vibrate to the rhythm of decibels and frenetic movements of festival goers. And for good reason, the site is hosting the 1st edition of Wyhcella this weekend.
From electro to urban music via Caribbean sounds, there will be something for almost everyone because thirty artists, domestic and international DJs will perform during these two days of the festival.
Many artists will perform
After two years of pandemic-related restrictions, this “beach music festival” is therefore blowing the wind of freedom and even liberation for regulars of this type of event and even for beginners.
The start of the game is this afternoon, at 2 p.m.
The Pointe Buzaré location in Cayenne hosts the 1st edition of Wyhcelle
For the first time in Guyana and as has already been done elsewhere, a cashless system was established. The goal: to avoid the circulation of money on the site.
Participants will have a magnetized bracelet, which they will credit with the amount of their choice. Thanks to this, they will be able to buy everything that is on sale on the site, drinks and catering, and above all to walk calmly, in complete safety, without fear of being robbed or even losing cash.

Festival-goers can easily charge their wristband as they wish, thanks to dedicated terminals installed on site.
This weekend 30th and 31st July 2022 is the 1st edition of Wyhcella
Be careful if you drive in the area, it could be tricky all weekend…
